ITS Engineer (Design)

Parsons is actively searching for an exceptionally skilled

ITS Enginee

r to actively contribute to ITS design and construction and operation projects.


The selected candidate will assume a leading position, overseeing comprehensive ITS studies, crafting technical design documents, developing ITS Concept of Operations, and shaping strategic implementation plans for ITS projects.

What you will be doing:

Conduct a comprehensive review of the ITS Expansion roadmap in Dubai, ensuring alignment with current and forecasted traffic conditions and road development projects. Review contract specifications, implementation methodology, and standards, identifying gaps and making recommendations for improvements. Lead the design of ITS equipment and communications infrastructure including fiber optic and wireless technologies, CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs, Tolling, and sensor technologies. Heavy design involvement in ITS civil infrastructure (ducts, manholes, foundations, etc.) Participate effectively in the development of city-wide ITS architecture, systems engineering analysis, and plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) development for ITS and smart mobility systems. Develop a comprehensive project plans / shop drawings for the construction of ITS infrastructure, communications backbone, pilot areas, ITS device locations, construction schedules, and cost estimates. Assist in Coordinating with stakeholders, including utility services and service authorities, to identify requirements and obtain necessary approvals. Develop procedures and configurations for ITS equipment used on the ITS backbone network for optimal performance and uptime as well as ensuring system availability and reliability. Collaborate with Parsons ITS team and subject matter experts from other projects, fostering cooperation and sharing knowledge and experience. Responsible for direct coordination and follow up with the clients and stakeholders to identify requirements and finalize project scope. What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's

degree in

Electronics,

Civil, Transportation Engineering, Technology,

or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Extensive experience (minimum 7 years) in Intelligent Transportation Systems, with a focus on ITS design planning, implementation, and Sma

rt Mobility

.

Experience with leading the development of complete ITS Plans, Specs and Estimate packages.

Solid Experience developing ITS technologies and ITS Concept of Operations Reports.

In-depth knowledge of traffic management technologies, Co-operative-ITS, ITS standards, and future mobility trends.

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and present technical information to diverse audiences.

MicroStation and/or AutoCAD knowledge.
