Job Title: Italian Sous Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Italian Sous Chef with strong expertise in Italian cuisine and breakfast operations. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality standards, and ensure consistency across all Italian dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Prepare and supervise authentic Italian dishes with consistent quality and presentation
Lead and execute Italian breakfast menus, including classic and modern Italian breakfast items
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion control, and hygiene standards
Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
Monitor food quality, taste, and plating before service
Manage inventory, food costing, and minimize waste
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
Step in for the Head Chef when required
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in an Italian restaurant
Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Italian cuisine
Solid experience in Italian breakfast preparation and service
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and HACCP standards
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary certification or professional kitchen training
Experience working in reputable Italian or European restaurants
