Job Purpose:

We are looking for a skilled and creative

Italian Chef

with strong experience in preparing authentic Italian cuisine and gourmet sandwiches. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Italian cooking techniques, sandwich-making, and menu innovation to deliver high-quality dishes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present authentic Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, salads, and antipasti. Create and prepare a wide variety of sandwiches with fresh ingredients and innovative flavors. Develop new recipes and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation. Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards at all times. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients. Train and guide junior kitchen staff in Italian cooking techniques and sandwich preparation. Ensure timely preparation of dishes during peak hours. Collaborate with management to design seasonal menus and daily specials.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Italian Chef or Cook, with specialization in Italian cuisine and sandwich-making. Strong knowledge of Italian culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Creativity and passion for food presentation and recipe development. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of kitchen inventory and stock management. Culinary degree or professional chef certification is preferred.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidates with experience in Italian restaurants, cafes, or gourmet sandwich outlets. Ability to introduce fusion-style Italian sandwiches and innovative menu ideas.
