Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with a strong background in setting up and managing on-premise Microsoft Server environments from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, securing, and maintaining Microsoft-based systems and services. Experience with Linux servers is a plus. Aviation Industry experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain on-premise Microsoft Windows Servers (e.g., AD, DNS, DHCP, File Server). Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and user account administration. Monitor server performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure. Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system security and reliability. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues related to servers. Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident resolution. Collaborate with other IT staff to support network, security, and infrastructure initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Server environments. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and Windows Server administration. Familiarity with server virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware. Ability to configure server roles and features from scratch in an on-premise environment. Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning for server infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good documentation and communication skills. Aviation Industry experience is preferred.

Nice to Have:

Experience managing Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS). Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CompTIA Server+. Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
