We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled
IT Specialist
who will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures. The ideal candidate will oversee network operations, server management, software development, troubleshooting technical issues, and contribute to business continuity and cybersecurity initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Software Implementation & Modernization
Identify and evaluate software solutions to improve workflows and efficiency
Plan and execute software implementation projects from start to finish
Configure systems based on business needs (users, roles, permissions, workflows, templates, integrations)
Migrate data from old tools (Excel, legacy systems, etc.) to new software
Test new systems, fix issues, and optimize settings after go-live
Create simple user guides, checklists, and documentation
User Training & Adoption
Train staff on how to use new software tools effectively
Provide one-on-one and group training sessions
Act as the "go-to person" for questions about the new tools
Gather feedback from users and recommend improvements
General IT Support
Set up and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware
Manage user accounts and access (email, software logins, etc.)
Monitor and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues
Coordinate with external IT vendors or service providers when needed
Security, Backups, & Continuity
Apply basic cybersecurity practices (antivirus, updates, access control, secure passwords)
Help set up and monitor data backup solutions
Support business continuity planning related to IT and critical systems
Knowledge, Experience, and Special Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable
3-4 years of relevant IT experience
Certifications in Microsoft 365 and/or IT management (such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, ITIL) are highly desirable
Ability to train end users, provide clear technical guidance, and create documentation or user guides
* Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, and time-management skills
