Our client is a a growing digital commerce company based in the UAE, looking to hire an IT Lead to be based in Sharjah location. We are seeking an experienced IT Lead to develop and manage their digital commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ecommerce, with a focus on B2B, B2C, and Retail industries. You will possess a strong technical background, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the IT strategy of our ecommerce operations, supporting cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, finance, and CX. Build a high-performance team of IT professionals within an agile environment. Oversee web and product (App) development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Utilize expertise in Magento and WordPress to optimize platform performance and customization. Drive solutions architecture, project management, and IT project execution, including AWS Server and Dedicated server management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative digital commerce strategies. Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive support. Stay abreast of the latest ecommerce technologies, trends and implement innovative solutions to enhance the platforms functionality and user experience. Focus on improving the overall customer experience by implementing best practices in UX/UI design, customer service, and personalization.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in a relevant field Over 10 years of experience in ecommerce, with a strong focus on B2B, B2C, and Retail industries. Proven track record of managing high-performing teams within an agile environment. Expertise in Magento architecture, customization options, extension development, and performance optimization techniques. Strong technical background with skills in PHP, HTML, API, MySQL, scripting, and database management. Experience in project and product management, solutions architecture, and IT project management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in version control systems like Git and DevOps tools such as Trello, Jira. Knowledge of Big Data technologies, ERP systems (JDE & D365), and AI bots. Experience with Google Analytics, Firebase, and other data analysis and visualization tools. Strong understanding of omnichannel retail, content management, and digital marketing strategies. Certifications in Magento development or ecommerce-related disciplines are a plus.
