IT Cloud Engineer

. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of hands-on experience across IT products (MS, Oracle, etc.),

networking, infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization

, and

cybersecurity

.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution engineering through design, deploy, and maintain enterprise

infrastructure systems

, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms. Administer and optimize

Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP

, and

group policies

. Manage, diagnose, and monitor

networking infrastructure

including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. Deploy and manage on-perm and

on-cloud infrastructure

(IaaS, PaaS, hybrid) across

AWS

and

Azure

environments. Implement and manage

virtualization platforms

(e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM). Conduct regular

vulnerability assessments

,

penetration tests,

and security audits to identify and mitigate risks. Ensure

network and data security

through proper configurations, monitoring tools, and incident response. Lead

disaster recovery

and

business continuity

planning and execution. Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support infrastructure such as code (IaC) and automation initiatives. Maintain documentation and diagrams for infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures. Stay current with emerging technologies and security threats, recommending improvements as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems design and deployment, administration, and networking. Strong knowledge of

network protocols

,

firewall configuration

, and

enterprise-level routing/switching

. Hands-on experience with

AWS

,

Azure

, or both (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Azure VMs, Azure AD, etc.). Proven expertise with

VMware

,

Hyper-V

, or other virtualization platforms. Solid understanding of

cybersecurity principles

,

SIEM

,

IDS/IPS

, and

penetration testing tools

(e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite). Experience with

infrastructure automation

tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Strong communication and documentation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills in English GIS/Esri software knowledge is a plus.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Cisco CCNA CompTIA Security+ or CASP+ VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
