Job Description

To provides technical support for computer systems, networks, and hardware, often serving as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical help. This is typically an entry-level position that offers broad exposure to information technology tasks.

Core responsibilities:



Technical support:

Provide first-line support to users for hardware, software, and network-related problems through a help desk or direct assistance.

Installation and configuration:

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.

System maintenance:

Monitor and maintain computer systems, including performing regular updates, patches, and security protocols.

User account management:

Set up, manage, and administer user accounts, permissions, and security settings.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.

Documentation:

Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.

Network support:

Assist with monitoring and maintaining the company's network infrastructure.

Data backup and recovery:

Perform regular data backups and assist with data recovery procedures as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

bachelor's or associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ are often desirable At least 2 years work experience.
