Job Overview
The Islamic Studies Teacher will deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned instruction to primary and middle school students. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment while promoting deep understanding and respect for Islamic principles, values, and heritage.
Key Responsibilities

• Teach Islamic Education A and B to students in Primary and Middle Years
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and student needs
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly, adapting teaching methods when necessary
• Use innovative and interactive strategies to support spiritual, moral, and academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives
• Maintain classroom discipline while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment
• Provide feedback to students and parents, and participate in school meetings and events
• Engage in ongoing professional development through GEMS CPD programs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies or a closely related field
• Valid teaching certification or equivalent qualification
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Primary and Middle School levels
• Familiarity with international curricula and multicultural learning environments
• Proficiency in classroom technology and digital learning tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student-centered learning
