Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery+ Teach Islamic B curriculum (Islamic Studies for non-Arabic-speaking Muslim students) in line with the local Ministry of Education requirements or school guidelines.
+ Cover core topics such as Quranic studies (with translated meaning), Hadith, Seerah (life of the Prophet), Islamic beliefs (Aqeedah), acts of worship, and Islamic morals.


2. Lesson Planning+ Prepare engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to students with limited or no Arabic proficiency.
+ Use English (or students' common language) to explain Islamic concepts clearly, while introducing key Arabic terms where appropriate.


3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring+ Design and implement assessments to check student understanding and spiritual development.
+ Keep accurate records of student progress and report regularly to parents and school leadership.


4. Student Engagement and Support+ Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom where students feel comfortable discussing their faith.
+ Support students' moral and spiritual development in line with Islamic values.


5. Parental Communication+ Engage with parents to keep them informed about student learning and ways to support Islamic education at home.
+ Address any concerns or questions related to curriculum or student progress.


6. Cultural and Religious Events+ Organize and contribute to school-wide Islamic events and celebrations (e.g., Ramadan activities, Eid assemblies, Islamic Awareness Days).
+ Encourage students to take part in cultural and religious initiatives that build community and understanding.


7. Professional Development+ Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in Islamic education for non-Arabic speakers.
+ Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance cross-curricular learning.


8. Compliance and Safeguarding+ Ensure all teaching aligns with school policies, safeguarding standards, and local educational regulations.
+ Promote a safe and ethical learning environment for all students.

Skills Description

Strong Islamic Knowledge+ Solid understanding of Quranic teachings (with translation), Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Islamic ethics.
+ Ability to present Islamic principles in a clear, accessible way for non-Arabic-speaking students.


2. Language and Communication Skills+ Proficiency in English (or the school's main language of instruction) for effective teaching and explanation of Islamic concepts.
+ Ability to introduce Arabic terms sensitively, ensuring comprehension without overwhelming students.


3. Instructional and Pedagogical Skills+ Skilled in designing engaging, interactive lessons for learners of varying ages and backgrounds.
+ Competence in using age-appropriate teaching strategies and materials tailored to non-Arabic speakers.
