Job Summary

The Irrigation Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of irrigation systems for landscape projects. The role involves working with irrigation pipelines, valves, pumps, sprinklers, drip systems, and control units to ensure efficient water distribution and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Install irrigation systems including main lines, sub-main lines, lateral lines, drip irrigation, and sprinkler systems. Assemble, fix, and repair irrigation pipes (HDPE, UPVC, PVC) and fittings. Install and maintain valves, valve boxes, controllers, solenoids, pressure regulators, and filters. Carry out pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of irrigation systems. Identify leaks, blockages, and system faults and carry out timely repairs. Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure proper routing and installation. Read and interpret irrigation drawings, layouts, and specifications. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of irrigation systems. Ensure proper alignment and coverage of sprinklers and drip emitters. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Maintain tools and ensure materials are used efficiently. Report daily work progress and material requirements to the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an irrigation plumber, preferably in UAE or GCC. Experience in landscaping and irrigation projects (villas, farms, parks, commercial projects). Knowledge of irrigation components, pumps, controllers, and fittings. Ability to read irrigation shop drawings and site layouts. Basic knowledge of water pressure, flow rates, and irrigation scheduling. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in site conditions. Familiarity with safety standards and best practices. ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant trade certification is an advantage.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and quality of workmanship. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred (Optional)

Valid UAE driving license. Experience with automatic irrigation controllers (Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, etc.). Knowledge of water-saving and efficient irrigation practices.
