Irrigation Engineer (landscape Maintenance)

Job Description

Responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water distribution, system efficiency, and compliance with project specifications, environmental standards, and UAE regulations.

Key Accountabilities:



Analyze water requirements for designated communities and landscapes.. Design irrigation systems using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, including pump sets, network lines, and overhead irrigation systems. Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and project specifications. Prepare irrigation schedules, TSE (Treated Sewage Effluent) requirement calculations, and regular site assessments to optimize system performance. Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and snag/de-snag reports to ensure systems are operating efficiently. Act as the primary point of contact with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for all irrigation-related matters, including inspections and approvals. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve irrigation system issues while providing guidance to team members. Recommend system upgrades or improvements to enhance water conservation and system performance. Prepare and submit Method of Statements (MOS), Risk Assessment (RA) reports (in coordination with HSE Engineer), incident reports, and work completion reports. Coordinate with NOC Engineer to obtain necessary permits and approvals. Collaborate with procurement to arrange material requirements and quotations for irrigation-related work. Monitor and manage central control systems and smart irrigation systems for automated scheduling and water efficiency. Provide weekly irrigation activity reports to management and clients

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:



Bachelor's Degree in Irrigation, Agriculture, Horticulture, Landscaping, or relevant field. 2 - 4 years relevant work experience MS Office, AutoCAD, PLC, SCADA Driving license is a must Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering is preferred. Strong project management skills and experience with large-scale projects Knowledge of sustainable practices and maintenance standards Certification from a recognized landscape architecture or engineering institution Experience working with a diverse range of projects including urban parks, residential areas, and commercial spaces
