Job Description

The Irrigation Design Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing irrigation systems for landscape projects. This role includes performing technical calculations, preparing material quantity take-offs, and producing detailed irrigation shop drawings to ensure the efficient implementation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design irrigation systems in alignment with proposed landscape designs. Conduct irrigation design calculations, including water demand, irrigation schedules, and hydraulic analysis (e.g., friction loss calculations). Prepare detailed irrigation shop drawings and material quantity take-offs based on project specifications. Provide technical support to the Technical Manager regarding irrigation-related matters. Collaborate with the landscape team to ensure cohesive project execution. Supervise and provide guidance to irrigation draftsmen. Support Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Consultants as needed. Assist the Procurement team by clarifying irrigation material requirements. Prepare and submit irrigation as-built drawings reflecting site conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, agricultural engineering, landscape architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation design for landscape projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Strong knowledge of hydraulic analysis and irrigation system components. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for irrigation systems.
