We will continue to lead the change, support the growth of our region and protect ideas through innovation. : As an Intellectual Property (IP) Specialist, you need to have expertise in trademark, patent, and design law, you will manage trademarks, patents, and designs, from registration to enforcement. Your role will also involve protecting copyrights and overseeing comprehensive IP portfolios through audits and value optimization strategies. Utilize your legal research skills to support litigation and negotiation of licensing agreements while ensuring compliance with regulations and mitigating risks. Effective communication and collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams will be pivotal in achieving strategic IP objectives. Top of Form Key Responsibilities: 1. Management of Trademarks: Overseeing trademark portfolios, covering registration, maintenance, and enforcement activities. 2. Expertise in Patent Law: Possessing extensive experience in patent law, encompassing the drafting patent applications, prosecution, and enforcement of patents. 3. Expertise in Design Law: Possessing extensive experience in design law, including drafting design applications, prosecution, and enforcement of designs. 4. Protection of Copyrights: Possessing knowledge of copyright laws and the ability to protect creative works through copyright registration and enforcement measures. 5. Management of IP Portfolios: Conducting comprehensive IP audits, overseeing intellectual property portfolios, and devising strategies to optimize the value of IP assets. 6. Legal Research Skills: conducting thorough legal research to support matters related to intellectual property, including infringement analysis and validity assessments. 7. Negotiation of Licensing and Agreements: drafting and negotiating licensing agreements and contracts pertaining to intellectual property. 8. Support in Litigation: Familiarity with the processes involved in intellectual property litigation, including helping attorneys in IP disputes and litigation. 9. Effective Client Communication: Strong communication abilities, enabling the clear and concise explanation of intricate legal concepts to clients. 10. Risk Identification and Management: Capable of identifying and mitigating intellectual property risks through conducting assessments and implementing appropriate risk management strategies. 11. Compliance with Regulations: Understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, and adeptness in staying abreast of changes in IP law to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. 12. Collaboration within Teams: Experience in collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and business stakeholders, to attain strategic IP objectives. 13. Diligence in Attention to Detail: Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail when reviewing and analysing intellectual property documents, contracts, and legal filings.
  • Provide counsel to clients on IP-related matters during mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions.
Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in a technical or legal field. 5 years of experience in intellectual property management, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting. Strong understanding of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret laws and practices. Experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and portfolio management. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Registered Patent Agent or Attorney. Experience with IP management software and databases. Familiarity with technology licensing and commercialization. What you can expect:
