Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the assigned government and public sector client portfolio to achieve revenue and return targets
• Originate new investment banking opportunities across lending, advisory, and capital markets products
• Work closely with the Sector Head to develop and execute business strategy and account plans
• Coordinate with product teams and internal stakeholders to structure, pitch, and execute transactions
• Prepare and review term sheets, information memoranda, financial models, mandate letters, and proposals
• Lead deal pitching, negotiation, and execution while managing credit, market, and operational risks
• Maintain high credit quality across the portfolio in line with bank risk appetite
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and increase wallet share with key government clients
• Ensure timely submission of credit reviews and adherence to agreed credit conditions
• Supervise and coach team members, supporting talent development and performance management
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and internal governance requirements
• Maintain accurate client documentation, MIS, and audit-ready records
• Monitor portfolio performance through financial analysis, MIS, and budget tracking
• Support continuity of day-to-day transactions and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs

Ideal Profile

• UAE National
• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline
• Master's degree in business administration is preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in investment banking
• Strong knowledge of government and public sector banking
• Proven experience in client origination, deal execution, and portfolio management
• Strong financial analysis, structuring, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage teams, stakeholders, and complex transactions
• Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
