Harmony Global Partners, originally established in 2005, is an alternative investment and consultancy platform with a local focus and global reach from Australasia to Europe and North America.\xe2\x80\x8b The main activities of the Company are Asset Management, Principal Investments and Capital Solutions. The Investment Analyst will work with other analysts and lead a team of investment interns supporting origination, deal execution and portfolio management functions, as well as managing the workflow of the team and updating senior management on a timely basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality control and supervision while all projects are carried out to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s highest standards. Key Tasks/ Area of Responsibility Deal Origination & Research: \xc2\xa7 Conduct detailed research on industries, sectors and companies as directed by senior management.
\xc2\xa7 Support the initiation of deal flow for the Company\xe2\x80\x99s various investment vehicles and core activities.
\xc2\xa7 Compile pre-screening, screening and preliminary financial analysis on prospects for presentation to senior management. Valuation: \xc2\xa7 Conduct detailed valuation work on companies as directed by Managing Directors, delegating to other team members as appropriate.
\xc2\xa7 Tasks will include detailed financial modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, enterprise valuation, and comparable analysis.
\xc2\xa7 Conduct detailed return analysis on investment opportunities for utilisation by the Company\xe2\x80\x99s senior management in the investment decision-making process. Due Diligence: \xc2\xa7 Participate in deal teams when conducting due diligence on specific opportunities.
\xc2\xa7 Interface and coordinate with sell-side brokers, advisers and research analysts to ascertain facts about a particular opportunity as appropriate.
\xc2\xa7 Review legal agreements, bond documents, banking agreements and securities documentation necessary for investment analysis.
\xc2\xa7 Compile investment documents including term sheets, financial models, detailed Due Diligence File Notes and detailed investment memoranda. Investment Execution: \xc2\xa7 Coordinate amongst external advisers (financial, legal, tax, commercial) and internal functional teams (investment, operations, marketing) to complete investments or capital solutions mandates. Post Investment Management: \xc2\xa7 Coordinate ongoing analysis, monitoring and reporting on existing and future investments, including review of management reports and information packs.
\xc2\xa7 Write and present structurally sound proposals and plans for the enhancement of ongoing investments, calling upon resources within the Company and its external network where appropriate. Business Development: \xc2\xa7 Support and execute business development initiatives as directed by the Company\xe2\x80\x99s senior management. Team / Office Management: \xc2\xa7 Monitor and mentor interns.
\xc2\xa7 Other duties as directed. Requirements Experience required: \xc2\xa7 At least 1 year of work experience at an investment bank, private equity fund, hedge fund, boutique corporate finance firm or the corporate finance division of a recognised accounting firm.
\xc2\xa7 Educated to degree level.
\xc2\xa7 Industry qualifications an advantage e.g., CFA.
\xc2\xa7 Experience working collaboratively and flexibly as part of a remote global team an advantage. Skills Required: \xc2\xa7 Financial modeling.
\xc2\xa7 Investment analysis and presentation.
\xc2\xa7 Project management and organisation.
\xc2\xa7 Excellent English verbal and written communication. Compensation \xc2\xa7 Base Salary: TBD based on market levels and commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate.
