Job Description

The inventory manager is a critical member of the IBS team that drives positive culture change for our inventory processes. This position is responsible for developing, growing, and managing our inventory controls. Reporting to Record to Report Manager, the main mission is to ensure that the Material and Stock financial statements are complete, accurate and correct (compliant to local & IFRS accounting rules). This position also plays a key role in managing relationships with internal stakeholders in the development of maintenance and inventory strategies to improve efficiencies within the Operations teams.

Main Responsibilities :

Ensure that local factory finance teams and warehouses managers put under control all the systems, controls and operational process that impact Material & Stock financial statements ; Guarantee stock interfaces to finance system are on time and correct. If there is a gap, it is measured, identified and actions plans are pushed to solve them; Coordinate period-end closing activities related to Material & Stock accounting done by sites ; Perform period-end closing activities related to Material & Stock accounting : Stock in transit adjustment obsolete stock depreciation Analyse variance of actual vs standard valuation stocks ; Have a close relation with operationals to be informed on issues on systems, controls or process that could impact financial statements ; Contribute to lead finance projects as appropriate. Participate in CBU projects and promote IBS projects that can help the CBUs ; Guarantee effective internal control on finance business service Material & Stock Accounting and contribute to implement actions plans ; Develop, implement, and refine processes for ensuring control of all inventory (FG,R&P and Spare parts) ; Design and implement an inventory tracking procedure to optimize inventory control procedures within our ERP M3/COSWIN Systems ; Manage audits, review inventory data, and use insights to lead investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce and eliminate variances ; Report monthly parts expenditures and perform annual end of year inventory for finance ; Work with internal control, Operations, C&P and finance functions to ensure the organization has an effective process to manage inventory and reduce variances ; Assist in the development and implementation of business processes to ensure compliance with company policies centered on inventory ; Develop and report on key performance indicators to dive continuous improvement of inventory control ; Promote good working relationships with customers, vendors.
