Position Overview
GMG is looking for a diligent and organized Inventory Controller to join its retail operations team in Dubai. The role is responsible for managing inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment activities to ensure product availability while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock management systems in accordance with company standards and parameters.
  • Receive and verify delivered supplies, ensuring accuracy in quantity, model, and condition against purchase orders.
  • Log and track all stock movements in and out of the store, maintaining a detailed record of transfers and adjustments.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure availability while adhering to defined inventory budgets and targets.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in received or dispatched goods and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
  • Oversee the handling of returned, damaged, expired, or non-saleable goods in line with company policies.
  • Manage storeroom organization, ensuring space utilization, hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support store operations by preparing and dispatching damaged or outdated items for return or disposal after proper approvals.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and assist in the annual physical inventory process to ensure system accuracy.
  • Communicate inventory status, slow-moving items, and reordering needs to the store manager.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse, procurement, and retail teams to optimize replenishment cycles.
Ideal Profile
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory or stock management, with at least 1 year in a similar role within the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems, replenishment procedures, and stock auditing.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and category/product management.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory software systems.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
