Job Description

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the availability of required materials and products. This role involves tracking inventory levels, conducting regular audits, analyzing data to forecast inventory needs, and coordinating with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage inventory levels across warehouses and storage areas Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions in the system Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonal demands Optimize inventory control procedures to minimize waste, shrinkage, and overstock Prepare and submit regular inventory reports for management review Assist in implementing inventory management software or ERP systems Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field Proven experience as an Inventory Controller, Inventory Analyst, or similar role Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in inventory or supply chain management (APICS CPIM or CSCP) Experience with barcode systems and warehouse automation tools Understanding of demand planning and logistics
