Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented

Inventory Controller

with a background in

building materials

to manage and monitor stock levels, ensure accuracy in inventory records, and streamline inventory processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling construction or building material products and will play a key role in maintaining optimum stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock movement (inbound/outbound) Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconcile physical stock with system records Ensure proper storage and identification of materials (cement, steel, tiles, fittings, etc.) Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstocking Investigate and report on inventory discrepancies and propose corrective actions Ensure inventory systems (ERP/WMS) are updated in real-time Generate inventory reports for management (stock valuation, movement analysis, etc.) Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards during handling and storage

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or similar role in the

building materials

industry Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, stock reconciliation, and warehousing practices Proficiency in ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Tally, etc.) Familiarity with different types of building materials and their storage requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
