Position Overview
GMG is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to lead the inventory management function across its multi-vertical operations in the UAE. The role is pivotal in ensuring stock accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across GMG's diverse portfolio, including retail, distribution, and warehousing. The successful candidate will combine technical SAP ERP/EWM expertise with strategic planning and strong leadership to maintain seamless inventory control and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive inventory strategies tailored to different business verticals.
• Develop and manage annual and cyclic stock count calendars in coordination with retail, warehouse, and finance teams.
• Lead and supervise physical stock counts, ensuring full adherence to GMG inventory control standards.
• Oversee variance analysis, reconcile discrepancies, and recommend corrective measures.
• Govern shrinkage investigations, documentation, and resolution processes.
• Ensure reconciled stock postings and manual adjustments are properly validated in SAP ERP/EWM within SLAs.
• Generate post-audit reports with detailed improvement recommendations.
• Drive implementation and optimization of inventory management systems across business units.
• Lead process automation, digitization, and workflow standardization initiatives.
• Build and track KPIs including stock accuracy, shrinkage, and inventory aging.
• Collaborate with Finance for inventory valuation and reporting during audits.
• Oversee SAP ERP/EWM operations and troubleshoot real-time transactional discrepancies.
• Lead system testing, integration enhancements, and process improvement in partnership with IT.
• Customize inventory practices for specific business types such as sports retail, supermarkets, pharmacy, and furniture operations.
• Provide strategic leadership to inventory controllers and warehouse teams, setting measurable performance and process improvement targets.
• Act as a central point of contact for inventory-related matters across all divisions and senior leadership.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably within a multi-channel retail or FMCG environment.
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing end-to-end inventory control for large-scale operations.
• Expert-level knowledge of SAP ERP/EWM modules (MM, IM, EWM).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and performance reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
