GMG is seeking a results-driven and analytical Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory accuracy, shrinkage management, and operational efficiency across its retail divisions. The role will ensure precise stock reporting, compliance with company procedures, and continuous process improvement through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Shrinkage Control

  • Develop and implement the annual stock count plan in coordination with operations and finance teams.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis of shrinkage reports and initiate corrective actions.
  • Track and resolve inventory discrepancies by liaising with store and warehouse teams.
  • Oversee data accuracy and stock reporting using Power BI dashboards.
  • Ensure adherence to count schedules and inventory policies across all stores and distribution centers.
  • Manage post-count reconciliations, damage write-offs, and system-based stock adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to establish and maintain shrinkage control measures.
  • Supervise restoration warehouse operations and maintain data integrity in ERP systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance
  • Act as the key liaison between operations, finance, and business units for all inventory-related matters.
  • Coordinate with finance on stock count approvals, reconciliations, and adjustment entries.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention (LP) teams to investigate and report discrepancies.
  • Deliver comprehensive inventory accuracy reports and present improvement recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and audit requirements.
Special Assignments & Ad-Hoc Tasks
  • Lead special stock count initiatives, including store audits, system migrations, and acquisition integrations.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor compliance and identify risk areas.
  • Support system enhancements, SOP implementation, and digitization of inventory management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at improving stock accuracy, efficiency, and data visibility.
Team Management & Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor the inventory control team, setting clear objectives and KPIs.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring high standards of accuracy, productivity, and accountability.
  • Train team members and stakeholders on SOPs, Power BI reporting, and process automation tools.
  • Promote collaboration, ethical conduct, and operational excellence across departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the inventory function.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in inventory control or retail stock management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong command of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Solid knowledge of inventory auditing, loss prevention, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with an eye for process efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-brand operations preferred.
