Job Overview
As an Inventory Assistant, you will be responsible for the physical movement and tracking of merchandise within the stockroom, receiving room, and holding areas. You will work closely with the inventory executive to process incoming goods quickly and ensure all items are properly tagged, barcoded, shrink-wrapped, and made floor-ready. The role includes maintaining documentation such as gate passes and following store compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• Physically handle merchandise in and out of the stockroom as per planogram guidelines
• Assist inventory executive in receiving goods to expedite merchandise processing
• Perform security tagging, shrink wrapping, and barcoding of products
• Create gate passes for merchandise movement as per store protocols
• Follow standard operating procedures including staff discount policies and store opening/closing tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within inventory zones (receiving room, holding room, HVS room)
• Support stock movement and stock count procedures as needed
• Coordinate with floor staff to ensure timely replenishment of stock

Job Requirements

• Secondary school qualification required
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in warehouse or inventory handling, preferably in a retail environment
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good communication skills and commitment to customer service support
