Role Summary


The Inventory and Planning Coordinator will be responsible for both storekeeping and planning assistance within the manufacturing division of an oilfield services company. This position requires a combined focus on managing inventory, tracking materials, ensuring optimal production schedules, and supporting the planning team in achieving efficient production operations. The role involves monitoring stock levels, organizing materials, and ensuring timely order fulfillment, all while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Progress Reporting: Assist in generating progress reports for the accounting department. Material Receipt & Verification: Receive materials and shipments from vendors based on purchase orders placed by the Supply Chain Department. Thoroughly inspect materials for quantity, condition, and description. Order Processing: Complete size splits for orders according to the critical path timeline and process all related documentation. Inventory Management: Systematically categorize, store, and track all incoming materials and equipment in the designated storage locations. Material Care: Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or deterioration. Stock Verification: Conduct regular stock audits and verify stock accuracy, ensuring optimal stock levels at all times. ERP System Management: Record all material receipts and movements within the company ERP system. Planning Assistance: Support the planning manager in maintaining production plans and adjusting schedules to align with material availability and production capacity. Order Fulfillment: Pick orders for internal distribution, ensuring timely and accurate material issuance based on departmental requisitions. Material Disposal: Oversee the proper disposal of scrap materials in accordance with company procedures. Packing & Dispatch: Assist with packing, handling, and dispatching of materials and equipment, preparing required documentation as needed. Report Generation: Create and submit inventory and production-related reports to internal stakeholders. Stock Audits: Facilitate stock audits and ensure compliance with audit procedures. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., vocational or technical certification related to inventory management or manufacturing processes preferred). 3+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-driven industry. Experience in inventory management, production planning, or related functions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills with grammatically correct speech. Responsible, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in English is required; additional languages may be beneficial depending on customer requirements.
