Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Internal Medicine Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of adult diseases and health conditions. The role focuses on providing comprehensive medical care, preventive health services, and coordinating with other specialists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed patient consultations, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations. Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of adult illnesses including chronic diseases, infections, metabolic disorders, and multi-system conditions. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and other investigations. Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans. Provide preventive care, health education, and lifestyle modification counseling. Manage complex cases requiring long-term care, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory, and gastrointestinal diseases. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with medical and legal standards. Participate in case discussions, continuous medical education (CME), and quality improvement programs. Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, ethical practices, and infection control standards. Provide on-call support as per hospital/clinic requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Medical Degree with specialization in Internal Medicine.

License:

Valid medical MOH License of United Arab Emirates Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, empathy, and patient care abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
