The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization. The role involves planning and executing internal audits, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and report on internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.
Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operational, financial, and compliance-related processes.
Evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the development of the risk-based audit plan.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented audit reports and present findings to management.
Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation.
Collaborate with external auditors and assist in coordinating audit efforts.
Identify and communicate emerging risks and control issues.
Maintain current knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CA- Inter is a must.
CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) preferred.
2-5 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of risk assessment, internal control frameworks, and audit standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with audit or ERP software is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
