Responsibilities
Evaluate financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, regulatory
requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
Review and test all key financial processes including:
Payment authorization and disbursement
Receipt recording and reconciliation
General Ledger postings and closing activities
Vendor invoices, approvals, and purchase processes
Sales invoices, customer billing, and receivables management
Identify gaps in accounting, record-keeping, and operational processes, and recommend improvements.
Analyze cost structures, propose efficiency measures, and support profitability enhancement.
Assess and monitor areas of significant business risk, ensuring effective internal controls are in place.
Apply best practices in auditing and business processes in line with international standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures across all entities (UAE, KSA, Qatar).
Prepare and execute the annual Internal Audit Plan.
Conduct ad hoc investigations into reported or suspected risks, including fraud or misconduct.
Oversee risk-based audits covering both financial and operational processes, including
procurement, leasing, and asset utilization.
Monitor compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other regulatory frameworks, coordinating with external auditors and regulators as required.
Review ERP system controls, ensuring segregation of duties, data integrity, and opportunities for automation or process enhancements.
Implement fraud risk assessment procedures and maintain mechanisms for whistleblowing and incident reporting.
Ensure timely reporting of audit findings, corrective actions, and key recommendations directly to the CEO.
Prepare and submit monthly internal audit reports to the CEO, highlighting risks, trends, and recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA) preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 5 years' experience in an internal audit role, ideally in a multi-entity or asset-intensivebusiness.
Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proven risk assessment experience.
High attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
Excellent documentation, communication, and IT/ERP proficiency
