Job Description

Job Summary:

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for auditing all aspects of the company's accounting, financial, and operational processes to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. This includes overseeing financial reporting, evaluating risk, testing internal controls, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution:

Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans covering all financial areas, including revenue recognition, procurement, payroll, project costing, and capital expenditures.

Financial Audits:

Assess the accuracy of financial statements, including the general ledger, trial balance, and cash flow, ensuring compliance with IFRS or local standards.

Project & Contract Audits:

Review construction project budgets, cost tracking, and contract compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial plans.

Payroll & Tax Audits:

Ensure compliance with payroll processing, tax withholdings, and end-of-service benefits, in line with local labour laws and tax regulations.

Internal Controls & Risk Management:

Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, assess financial risks, and ensure proper segregation of duties and documentation in all financial processes.

Reporting:

Compile audit findings and recommendations, providing detailed reports to management on financial performance, internal controls, and risk mitigation strategies.

Follow-Up:

Track and ensure the implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring continuous improvement in financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred. 4-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in auditing financial processes, risk assessment, and internal controls. Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with senior management. Valid QID is mandatory with change of sponsorship

Pay: QAR16,000.00 - QAR18,000.00 per month
