About the Role:
As an Internal Auditor, you will be a key member of our audit team, responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services. You will contribute to improving our operations by evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role is based in Abu Dhabi and offers a challenging environment where your expertise will have a direct impact on the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Planning & Execution: Conduct risk-based audit planning and perform end-to-end internal audits across various functions (financial, operational, compliance).
• Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate significant business risks and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Testing & Analysis: Perform audit testing, analyze evidence, and document results in accordance with professional standards (IIA Standards).
• Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and impactful audit reports detailing findings, risks, and practical recommendations for management.
• Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to management by providing insights and recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, and compliance.
• Follow-up: Monitor and follow up on management's action plans to ensure timely and effective implementation of agreed-upon recommendations.
• Compliance: Ensure audits comply with company policies, UAE laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in internal auditing.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Certification: Mandatory professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive internal auditing experience, specifically within the UAE market. Experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, or related heavy industries is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with data analytics tools (ACL, IDEA, Tableau) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a strong advantage.
• Soft Skills:
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly.
• High ethical standards and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
