About the Role

The role of Pricing and promotions intern will be part of the Quik Groceries team in the Careem platform. You will be working on pricing and promotions process and strategy. Focusing on daily price changes required and promotion implementation.

You will get to be part of a dynamic and autonomous team who joined on a mission to build Careem Groceries all aligned on the same values of ownership, shooting to the moon and being of service to customers, partners, colleagues and captains.
What you\'ll do
\xe2\xa6\x81 Work on pricing of our entire grocery selection
\xe2\xa6\x81 Monitor and update our prices vs other q-commerce competitors.
\xe2\xa6\x81 Understand the margin impacts and update price changes to reach margin targets.
\xe2\xa6\x81 Work on discounts for near expiry products Fresh and Non-Fresh
\xe2\xa6\x81 Confirm promotional prices for brand funded promotional items
\xe2\xa6\x81 Create promo selection for various seasonal and marketing campaigns

What you\'ll need

\xe2\xa6\x81 Strong skills in excel, G sheets. Sql coding is a plus
\xe2\xa6\x81 Should have graduated
\xe2\xa6\x81 Strong understanding of data in terms of cost price, Selling price, margins, item mix and category mix
\xe2\xa6\x81 Understanding of inventory data. Days on Hand, stocks at a risk of expiry.
\xe2\xa6\x81 Understanding of promotion metrics. Promo selection%, quantity uplift due to promotions
