About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical intern to join DP World's Group Internal Audit, specifically within the Business Audit team. This role will support on an audit of GCC Engineering, providing insights and expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering standards and procedures. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to critical business audit activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency in engineering operations at our Jebel Ali Port.

Job Responsibilities:

Support GCC Engineering Internal Audit: Support in the Internal Audit of GCC Engineering by testing the design and effectiveness of the controls within the Engineering department. Understand the process and procedures in place, develop audit work programmes and assess compliance against the identified controls. Collaborate with teams to conduct thorough audits in mechanical and electrical engineering processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with established standards. Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders in the Engineering, Procurement and Finance departments. Understand the regulations and requirements to be complied with. Data Analytics & Reporting: Analyze engineering performance data using Excel and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders. Quantitative & Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and Power BI, with experience handling large datasets. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering principles, specifically in mechanical or electrical disciplines. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data insights in a clear, actionable manner. Project Management: Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Proactive Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement through innovative approaches.

Preferred Education & Experience:

Recent graduate or young professional with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
