Responsible for designing building interiors and selecting furnishings for new and existing buildings. Creates practical, aesthetic, and functional interior designs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Communicates with Hospital Departments at various levels to discuss and identify needs and requirements and accordingly provides interior design options without supervision. 2. Consults with Architect throughout the design process to ensure the proper requirements are reflected in the design as per Hospital Standards. 3. Prepares schematic, preliminary and working drawings. 4. Prepares alternative solutions for interior and finishing works. 5. Reviews and recommends modifications or approval of contractor’s submittals of shop drawings, samples and substitutions for all interior related works. 6. Studies, evaluates and upgrades all finishing materials used in the Hospital. 7. Prepares functional program for Hospital renovation and new decoration projects. 8. Attends weekly meetings with contractors and staff. 9. Prepares and submits periodic progress reports. 10. Coordinates with all Hospital departments to select furniture, fabric and related items per Hospital standards. 11. Meets, negotiates and coordinates with all Hospital suppliers for furniture, fabric and related items. 12. Visits outside factories to check on new contractor work and manufacturing capabilities.

Education

Master or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design / Architecture is required.

Experience Required

Three (3) years of related experience with Masters’ Degree or five (5) years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture/Design including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity at a managerial/ supervisor position is required.

Other Requirements(Certificates)

• Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects, 3-D drawing and color rendering.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Non-Saudi Engineers must obtain minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
