Position Overview

The

Interior Designer

will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for renovation and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with

AutoCAD

,

shop drawings

, and the ability to transform design concepts into detailed plans. The role requires a deep understanding of design principles, space planning, and material selection, combined with strong technical skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Interior Design & Concept Development

: Develop innovative and functional interior design concepts based on client needs, brand identity, and project requirements. Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and visual presentations for client approval. Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to finalize design concepts that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Technical Drawings & Shop Drawings

: Produce detailed

AutoCAD drawings

for interior layouts, furniture plans, lighting, electrical layouts, and construction details. Create

shop drawings

for custom-built elements such as cabinetry, wall treatments, and furniture, ensuring accurate specifications and dimensions. Ensure designs are feasible and align with project budgets, timelines, and technical requirements.

Space Planning & Coordination

: Optimize space usage by designing layouts that improve flow, function, and visual appeal. Ensure that all design solutions are compliant with local building codes, health, and safety regulations. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design intentions are implemented correctly on-site.

Material Selection & Sourcing

: Assist in selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the project vision, budget, and quality standards. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials and negotiate best prices, ensuring timely procurement.

Project Management & Site Coordination

: Collaborate closely with the project team to track project progress and address any challenges related to design or construction. Visit project sites regularly to ensure the design is being executed correctly and resolve any design-related issues. Coordinate with the contractor or fabricator to ensure that custom elements are produced and installed according to design specifications.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

: Present design concepts and proposals to clients and adjust designs based on feedback. Maintain clear and continuous communication with clients to ensure design satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance & Final Checks

: Ensure all design work meets Wayn Maintenance's standards for quality and craftsmanship. Conduct final walkthroughs and checks to ensure all installations and design elements are in place and meet project specifications.

Qualifications

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Certification in AutoCAD or other relevant design software is a plus.

Experience

: Minimum of

3-5 years of experience

as an Interior Designer, with a focus on

renovation, maintenance, and commercial/residential design

. Strong expertise in

AutoCAD

, including the creation of detailed

shop drawings

. Experience with interior design software (e.g., SketchUp, 3D rendering tools) is an advantage. Proven experience working on both

small- and large-scale

renovation projects.

Skills & Competencies

: Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(2D and 3D) for interior design and shop drawings. Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furnishings, and construction methods. Excellent understanding of space planning, lighting design, and ergonomics. High attention to detail and strong visualization skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Language Skills

: Proficiency in

English

(both written and verbal) is required. Knowledge of

Arabic

is an advantage but not mandatory.
