The Interior Designer & Draughtsman will be responsible for creating innovative and functional design concepts, producing detailed technical drawings, and coordinating with project teams to ensure the execution of designs as per client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
Develop creative interior design concepts in line with client requirements and company standards.
Prepare mood boards, 3D renderings, and presentations for client approvals.
Suggest materials, finishes, colors, and furnishings in accordance with project needs and budgets.
Technical Drawings & Documentation
Prepare accurate 2D drawings, layouts, detailed shop drawings, and joinery details using AutoCAD or similar software.
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, DDA/DM standards, and project specifications.
Update and maintain drawing revisions and records.
Project Coordination
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors for material selection and approvals.
Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation and resolve technical discrepancies.
Quality & Standards
Ensure that drawings and designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Work within project timelines to deliver high-quality designs and drawings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum
2-5 years of UAE experience
in interior fitouts and design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and fitout execution practices.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and strong creativity with practical execution skills.
Preferred
UAE Driving License.
Experience in dealing with Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), and other local approval authorities.
