A.

As an Interior Designer especially for fit-out, your primary responsibility is to conceptualize, plan, and execute interior design projects for various spaces, ensuring they meet client requirements and are aligned with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional interior design solutions within specified timelines and budget.

B. Key Responsibilities

1. Owning a project - From concept to completion. Must take ownership and leadership towards project requirements, whereas understanding client requirements/owner's project requirements (OPR), translate client's inspiration into rough ideas through sketches, plans, presentations etc.

2. Defining project scopes - Able to undertake project requirements, schedules and initiate briefing phase.

3. Presentation - Develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations aligned to client's vision and requirements.

4. Conduct site survey and assessments to gather necessary information for design development.

5. Space planning - Able to utilize design tools to create plans, layouts, elevations, and other technical information. Optimize spatial arrangement to attain maximum aesthetic, functionality, and efficiency in compliance with building codes, local and international regulations, and other stringent standards.

6. Selection of materials and finishes - In-depth knowledge of selecting materials that able to contribute to sustainability impact, adheres to acceptable up-to-date international and local standards, and cost-effectiveness of material towards client's budget.

7. Detailing and documentation - Develop concepts, detailed drawings, specification, schedules for site installation.

8. Managing Cost - Ability to make trade-offs, and at least familiar with the current market within the region. Able to negotiate handle suppliers, manufacturers, and stakes.

9. Project Management/Supervision - Supervise site progress, and able to coordinate and stand as a decision-maker with confidence, while closely collaborating with other allied professions related to the project.

10. QA/QC - Conduct regular site inspection to ensure progress on-time, meets quality standards and design intent. Able to promptly and proactively respond to any design-related issues.

11. Communication and technical writing - Strong communication and technical writing skills in English, Arabic (a plus), and other language (a plus).

C. Skills

1. At least 8 years of proven working experience at a reputed company (consultancy is a plus)

2. Able to decide and produce layout, decide - color, lighting, material selections, custom furniture and installation, joineries, fabric, and other special materials.

3. Proficient in using AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3dMax, Illustrator, or other design programs.

4. Excellent previous portfolio or selected works, at least best 3 that had significantly impacted career growth.

5. Creativity, passion, imagination, and eye for design.

6. Able to work with various team experts of different backgrounds.

7. Project and design management skills (a plus).

8. Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

10. Must be able to produce professional Visuals/CGIs.

D. Qualification

1. Graduated from a reputable institution with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field. (Master's graduate is a plus).

2. Previous works / professional portfolio is a must.

3. Affiliated to any local or international organization related to field is a plus.

4.Must be DM-certified.
