Job Title: Interior Designer - Construction

We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer with a strong background in construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design coupled with a comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes. The role involves collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers to create functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces while ensuring projects are executed effectively within construction parameters.

Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Conceptualize, develop, and present design proposals for interior spaces, considering functionality, aesthetics, and client requirements.
• Construction Integration: Seamlessly integrate design concepts with construction processes, ensuring feasibility, structural integrity, and adherence to building codes and regulations.
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with construction teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution from design through construction to final installation.
• Material and Product Selection: Source, select, and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures based on design concepts, budgetary constraints, and construction requirements.
• Technical Drawings and Documentation: Produce detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation to communicate design intent and specifications to contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Site Visits and Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address design-related issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback throughout the design and construction phases.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in interior design with a strong background in construction and project management in UAE.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.) and familiarity with construction-related software/tools.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
