Job Description

Position Summary:

An Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and furnishing interior environments of residential, commercial, or industrial spaces. They work closely with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget, and translate those into functional and aesthetically pleasing interior designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to understand their goals, vision, and budget for interior spaces. Develop design concepts that align with client expectations and building requirements. Create detailed interior design plans, including layout, color schemes, lighting, furnishings, and materials. Use design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite to produce drawings and renderings. Source and select furniture, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design implementation. Manage project timelines, budgets, and procurement schedules. Conduct on-site visits to ensure work is aligned with design plans and specifications. Stay updated with current design trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field. Proven experience as an interior designer or relevant role. Strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite). Excellent creative, visualization, and communication skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ, LEED accreditation). Experience in both residential and commercial design. Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage expectations.
