Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Interface Engineer

to manage and resolve technical and engineering interfaces across multiple disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders in major oil and gas projects. The role ensures seamless integration between engineering packages, construction activities, and commissioning, minimizing risks, schedule delays, and design inconsistencies.

Key Responsibilities

Interface Management

Identify, define, and track technical and contractual interfaces between internal teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and third parties. Develop and maintain the

Interface Register

and ensure timely resolution of interface issues. Act as the focal point for cross-discipline and contractor communication.

Engineering & Technical Support

Review engineering deliverables for interface consistency (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, civil, structural, subsea, etc.). Ensure alignment between design documents, technical standards, and project specifications. Support risk assessments and provide input on constructability and operability.

Project Execution

Coordinate interface requirements across

FEED, EPC, construction, and commissioning phases

. Facilitate interface meetings, workshops, and reviews with stakeholders. Monitor and report on interface-related progress, risks, and KPIs.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure adherence to industry standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISO) and project-specific specifications. Verify that HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) requirements are embedded in all interface solutions. Maintain documentation for interface agreements, technical queries, and change management.

Qualifications

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, or related). Master's preferred.

Experience

: 5-10+ years of engineering/project experience in the oil & gas or energy industry. Prior involvement in large-scale projects (offshore platforms, pipelines, refineries, LNG, petrochemical). Strong background in multi-discipline coordination and interface management.

Technical Skills

: Familiarity with EPC project execution, interface registers, and project management tools. Working knowledge of engineering design tools and systems. Understanding of construction, commissioning, and operations requirements.

Soft Skills

: Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
