Integrity & Corrosion Engineer

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for an Integrity & Corrosion Engineer to be part of our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi for a perment/staff role.

+ Responsible for data collection and gathering of information of multiple sources for preparation of a study

+ Accountable for data QA/QC and validation

+ Leading engineering assessments based on applicable codes (e.g API 579, BS7910, ASME B31G, NG18, Shannon and Kastner assessment methods, DNVRP F101 etc

+ Carry out Pipeline Integrity for all sizes & Lengths of client's pipelines. Equipment assessment is a plus

+ Prepare Integrity assessment reports, which may include ILI reports, Fitness for Purpose (FFP) / Recommendations for Repair Reports (RRR), ILI raw data, Direct Assessment reports life extension and risk assessment

+ Recommendation for repair and methodology configuration to be adopted for repair, time frame for repair etc.

+ Support training of client's personnel during implementation in client's offices and field sites

+ Occasionally, The candidate may be required to work from a client's office for a period of time depending on the project

+ Performing corrosion study and material selection for onshore / offshore upstream / downstream facilities

+ Developing corrosion management strategies, including corrosion control and monitoring

+ Performing Corrosion Risk Assessment (CRAS) or Material Corrosion Audit (MCA) for upstream / downstream facilities

+ Developing & performing Corrosion Inhibitor selection and laboratory test programs

+ Experience in performing Fitness for Purpose (FFP) assessment, remaining life assessment

+ Knowledge and project experience in fracture and fatigue assessment of metallic components is an advantage

+ Cathodic Protection (CP) design for pipeline, structures and facilities

+ Good soft skills; primarily presentation skills, communication and collaboration with global offices

Skills/Qualification:

+ BSc in engineering or science with a proven working knowledge with oil and gas industry and software systems, full understanding of software implementation including databases and engineering equations

+ Miniimum 5 - 8 years' experience

+ Technical knowledge and work experience in pipelines/asset integrity analysis and risk

+ Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
