Insurance Administrator (full Time, Emirati National)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Administrator to provide support to the Medical Director and all doctors/surgeons both permanent and visiting. Assist in other areas of Medical Support such as call center and reception when required.

Key Responsibilities:



Medical Administration



Prepare insurance estimates and claims in line with clinic policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and security of all patients medical and insurance records. Coordinate with clinical staff and patients regarding copayments, non-covered procedures, and consumables/implants. Use correct coding and documentation to submit insurance claims on schedule. Maintain and update the insurance tracker on a daily basis. Understand and adhere to insurance plan authorization rules; stay updated on accepted insurance plans for direct billing at UAR. Communicate plan coverage and billing information with patients and the clinical team. Prepare and submit accurate documentation for insurance approvals and re-approvals. Update patients about their insurance coverage, authorizations, and out-of-pocket responsibilities. Work closely with medical staff to gather necessary documentation for pre-authorizations and claims. Assist self-paying patients with cost estimates, payment methods, and available discounts. Keep current with insurance policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory updates. Follow up on pending, denied, or underpaid claims and resolve issues with insurance providers efficiently. Ensuring timely submission/resubmissions of electronic claims through DHPO portal and paper claims by mail of email.

Requirements:



Nationality:

Emirati (as part of the UAE's national workforce development initiative).

Education:

Bachelor's degree or diploma level, Recognized certificate in Medical Administration preferred

Experience:

Experience in Medical Transcription (experience in Insurance and or Coding is a plus).

Language Skills:

Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Insurance or Claims management system is a plus.
