Job Purpose

Assist in the facilitating the execution of instrumentation maintenance activities and instrument calibrations by the Prime Contractor for instrumentation equipment and systems including development of Instrumentation Maintenance documents, programs, processes and procedures, which support plant maintenance to ensure that Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) equipment performance and material condition support safe and reliable plant operation.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Facilitate the execution of all instrumentation maintenance activities and instrument calibrations performed by the Prime Contractor under its Care and Custody obligations and ensure that work are conducted in accordance with the Conduct of Maintenance (CoM) standards and expectations.
  • Perform job tasks in a timely manner and with quality to achieve the highest level of safety and reliability for online and outage activities in support of both internal and external organizational needs (i.e.Operations, Work Management, Maintenance contractors, etc.).
  • Execute troubleshooting process on instrumentation systems and equipment to ensure that issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Support all necessary testing of systems (i.e.hot functional test, power ascension test and performance test, as well as design change testing procedures) to ensure compliance with regulatory and industrial requirements.
  • Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) program in accordance with the program requirements and guidelines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
  • Support the maintenance contractors\' performance reviews to ensure contractor(s) performance meet maintenance requirements within Nawah.
  • Execute maintenance improvement activities to ensure optimal plant performance (i.e.participate in conducting Assist with development of mechanical maintenance work instructions and model work orders.
  • Support efforts to implement relevant Operations Management System (OMS) modules related to Maintenance Programs to improve implementation success.
  • Continuously support the PM Program data population and quality, which may include providing a basis for development, as well as assessment of the program.
  • Participate in the technical review of service contract documents and manage the contractor to ensure best maintenance practices.
  • Implement designed Operating Experience, training, observation learnings into procedures and programs as needed to improve their usefulness.
  • Support and provide input with training development and execution, as required, in alignment with maintenance strategies and skills to increase the effectiveness and quality of maintenance work.
  • Assist in preparing for and collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA), Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) audit and World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) periodic evaluations to ensure successful results, and capturing of lessons learned for the betterment of the organization.

Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Implement continuous training to improve technical knowledge and skills and comply with Nawah fundamental.
  • Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance to improve training effectiveness.
  • Support the Training Function in updating Job Qualification Card (JQC) and training modules to maintain record keeping currency.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

  • 3 years of relevant experience, out of which:
  • 1 year is Nuclear Power Plant Experience.

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.

  • 5 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience.
