Summary

Based in Oman and reporting to the Controls & Instrumentation Manager, the DCS/SIS Engineer displays skills in specific control disciplines such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Industrial Communication Protocols

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for design, specification, selection, and services relating to control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, telecommunications, etc... Support operating facilities with DCS/SIS system updates, troubleshoot plant/substation control systems, energy management system, communication issues, and telemetry Coordinate with EPCs and internal design teams on control system specifications and control philosophy issues related to the following deliverables: Network Architecture Control and I/O diagrams Instrument and control cable schedules Instrument loop diagrams Junction box wiring diagrams Control panel layout and wiring diagrams Provide quality reviews of project specific DCS/SIS documentation Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the Process Control System and resolve any technical issue prior to shipment to the site Conduct Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Integration Site Acceptance Test (ISAT) for all Process Control System and resolve any technical issues that arise.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering field required, with a PE preferable 5+ years of hands-on DCS/SIS configuration experience Experience with Functional Safety documentation is a plus Experience with Produced Water treatment equipment is preferred

Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness. Ability to provide timely assessments with limited information and/or assumptions. Available for International travel including site visits Proactively identifies and recommends areas for process improvement within the organization
