The Institutional Research Analyst is responsible to the DSIE for gathering and analyzing data/statistics, preparing reports. The post holder assists in the provision of institutional data using various technologies; administering surveys in support of institutional research, planning, and evaluation activities. The analyst assists in the coordination of all aspects of external data reporting, including preparing data files for analysis, collecting data from academic programs and administrative offices, and ensuring data accuracy. The post holder also follows up on actions identified in actions plans developed from surveys to ensure that these are completed.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications and Education
Essential: An accredited bachelor's degree in mathematical, business, social or educational sciences with upper level statistics courses.
Work Experience
At least one year's professional experience with collection, statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation of data results, preferably in a research and/or educational environment
Required Knowledge and Skills
Essential:
Knowledge in data mining systems.
Knowledge of survey design and analysis.
Intermediate proficiency with data extraction and manipulation
Intermediate knowledge and skills in the application of Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets including creation and formatting of data tables and different infographics and diagrams.
Desirable:
Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, Minitab's etc.
Ability to work in a digitized environment.
Ability to make presentations to small groups
Language Proficiency Required
Essential: Strong communication skills with the ability to speak, read and write in English at native language level.
Desirable: Proficiency in reading and writing Arabic.
