Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of materials both on-site and in the laboratory to verify quality and compliance.
  • Review all materials delivered to the site, ensuring they match approved samples and specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain meticulous records of tests and findings.
  • Monitor material storage, handling, and usage to ensure adherence to project and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, project engineers, and managers to resolve any material discrepancies.
  • Assist in creating punch lists and participate in testing and commissioning phases.
  • Review Requests for Information (RFIs) and variance requests related to material use.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction codes and international quality regulations (ASTM, ISO, etc.).
  • Stay informed about new materials, testing techniques, and industry innovations.
  • Conduct pre-construction site condition checks to confirm readiness for planned work.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in materials testing and inspection on construction projects.
  • Proven background in infrastructure, transportation, or civil construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of material testing procedures and quality control systems.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for test analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Certification in relevant quality standards (ASTM, ISO) is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the UAE or Middle East preferred.
