Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electro/Mechanical Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to perform difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks as well as inspect various facets of work on the construction site and perform continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

This role will be based in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) with site construction supervision and inspection work.

Assisting the engineering team in various construction activities to ensure construction complies with the client's specifications.

Assisting in the reviewing and supervising subcontractor daily and weekly inspection reports.

Plans inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment.

Implements inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.

Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnaflex, dyepenetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paint thickness, and resistivity.

Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.

Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.

Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.

Inspects electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.

Inspecting construction materials to ensure compliance with contract specifications

Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.

Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.

Ensuring the subcontractors comply with operational and safety standards.

Oversees subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor work. Reviews and audits subcontractor generated quality records.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering discipline or construction related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.

Mandatory 8+ years of overall experience of which at least 5+ years experience should be within UAE in supervision of Infrastructure works and related to the MEP systems associated with similar storm water and groundwater control network projects.

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Experience in performing activities in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.

Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software

Ability to interpret specification, contract essentials. Also read and interpret construction plans and documents.
