Job Brief:

This role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and logistics operations, managing pricing strategies, and ensuring the efficient transportation of goods in accordance with company standards. The candidate will be instrumental in enhancing procurement processes, streamlining logistics operations, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement pricing strategies based on comprehensive analyses of industry pricing trends, competitor prices, and company costs to optimize sales and revenue.

- Manage the procurement of surface transport and local services inquiries from the market, ensuring timely and efficient handling of all inquiries in collaboration with the commercial team.

- Coordinate the handover of new and converted businesses to respective Operations Managers for seamless implementation based on agreed terms.

- Efficiently handle global and local RFQs (Request for Quotation) and drive effective results through strategic negotiation and communication.

- Prepare work orders for transactional businesses and ensure their timely delivery to the respective team leads for smooth execution.

- Monitor procurement and pricing milestones, maintaining a comprehensive record of achievements and a hit ratio for effective performance evaluation.

- Track and analyze failures, provide comprehensive feedback on reasons for failures, and liaise with the source of the query for necessary improvements.

- Monitor and manage all standard logistics procedures aligned with company policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.

- Review purchasing orders, and contracts with suppliers, vendors, and clients to maintain transparency and accountability in the procurement process.

- Plan and monitor all shipments, liaising with forwarders and shipping lines to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of goods.

- Determine the most suitable shipping methods, including air freight, sea freight, or express service, based on the specific requirements of each shipment.

- Coordinate with governmental authorities and customs to ensure seamless documentation processes and compliance with import/export regulations.

- Manage all banking-related issues.

- Ensure the systematic update of operational information in the company\'s database, maintaining accurate records of all ongoing, new, and completed operations.

- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing procurement, logistics, and pricing activities, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify potential leads, providing necessary support and information to facilitate the sales process.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends, contributing to the development of effective sales strategies.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing procurement and logistics operations, in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

- Must possess a business-level proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) and English.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret pricing trends, market dynamics, and cost implications effectively.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities.

- Proficiency in logistics software and databases, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.

- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs procedures is highly desirable.
