is an auto detailing company specialized in Paint Protection Film (PPF) based in Dubai. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality vehicle protection and detailing services. As a growing business, we are now seeking a dedicated in-house accountant to take full charge of our accounting and finance functions.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

In-House Accountant

to manage

360 accounting and finance responsibilities

for DBMIZE. In this full-time role, you will oversee all financial operations, from day-to-day bookkeeping to high-level financial reporting. You will ensure accuracy in our financial records, compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations, and provide insights to support our management in decision-making. If you are proficient in

QuickBooks

, have a solid understanding of

P&L, balance sheet,

and

cash flow

management, and can handle everything from invoicing to payroll, this role is for you. This position is on-site (in-house) at our Dubai office.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting:

Manage daily bookkeeping and

general ledger

entries in

QuickBooks

, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately (sales, expenses, payments, etc.).

Financial Statements:

Prepare and maintain monthly and annual financial statements, including the

Profit & Loss Statement

,

Balance Sheet

, and

Cash Flow Statement

, providing management with clear insight into the company's financial performance.

Month-End Closing:

Perform month-end and year-end closing activities such as reconciliations of bank accounts and other ledger accounts, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.

Accounts Receivable & Payable:

Handle all billing and payments processes -

issue invoices

to customers, record and reconcile incoming payments, and manage accounts payable by tracking expenses and processing vendor/supplier bills on time.

Payroll Management:

Administer the company's payroll on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate calculation of employee salaries, allowances, and deductions. Ensure timely salary disbursement in compliance with UAE labor laws and maintain payroll records.

Tax Compliance (FTA):

Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (

FTA

) regulations.

Prepare and submit VAT returns

on time, keep proper documentation for tax filings, and liaise with tax authorities or auditors if necessary. Stay updated on any changes in tax laws (VAT or upcoming corporate tax) and implement necessary compliance measures.

Cash Flow & Expense Monitoring:

Monitor daily cash flow and maintain healthy cash management. Oversee company expenses and purchases; provide regular updates on expenditures and

alert management to any unusual or significant expense variances

that could impact the budget.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Provide regular financial reports and summaries to management (e.g. monthly management accounts, budget vs actual reports). Analyze financial data to identify trends or areas for cost optimization and advise management on financial decisions, cost control, and profitability improvement.

Internal Controls & Record-Keeping:

Maintain organized financial records and implement basic internal controls to ensure integrity of financial data (such as proper approval for expenditures, reconciliation of cash receipts, etc.). Ensure that all accounting documentation (invoices, receipts, contracts) is properly filed and easily accessible for reference or audits.

Coordination & Support:

Work closely with the owners/management to support any financial planning or budgeting processes. Assist with any audits or financial reviews by preparing required documentation and schedules. Communicate with external parties (e.g. banks, auditors, suppliers, customers) regarding financial matters as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. (Professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.)

Experience:

3+ years

of proven accounting experience, preferably in a role where you handled full-spectrum accounting duties for a small or medium-sized company. Experience in the UAE market and familiarity with UAE accounting standards is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

QuickBooks

is

mandatory

. Strong MS Excel skills (ability to work with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial analysis) are also required. Familiarity with accounting principles (IFRS or GAAP) and comfort in preparing financial statements is expected.

Tax Knowledge:

Solid understanding of UAE

VAT

laws and experience with VAT return preparation/submission. Knowledge of UAE's Federal Tax Authority compliance requirements is essential (experience with FTA online portal is a plus).

Payroll & Compliance:

Experience handling payroll processes. Knowledge of UAE labor law basics related to payroll (e.g., WPS, end-of-service benefits calculations) is beneficial.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in working with financial data. Ability to spot errors or inconsistencies and rectify them independently.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines (for month-end close, tax filings, etc.), and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Integrity & Confidentiality:

Must handle sensitive financial and payroll information with the utmost integrity and confidentiality. Strong sense of ethics and responsibility when dealing with company finances.

Communication:

Good communication skills in English. Able to clearly report financial information and explain figures to non-financial team members. Comfortable coordinating with external parties (auditors, banks, vendors) when required.

Problem-Solving:

Proactive mindset in identifying financial issues or opportunities. Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights or recommendations to management.

Adaptability:

Comfortable working in a small-business environment, taking initiative, and building financial processes from the ground up if needed. Willingness to adapt and learn as the company grows or as regulations change.
