Infection Control Supervisors
Job Description
Duties: Instructs students and staff of the department in established infection control procedures. Monitors and ensures compliance with these protocols. Takes appropriate actions in accordance with policies of the department. Ensures equipment and instruments in various clinics are disinfected and sterilized properly. Demonstrates the operation of equipment and various techniques. Participates in the review of infection control protocols and policies. makes recommendations for changes. Acts as resource person, resolves problems and instructs others. Ensures compliance with safety regulations in the use of equipment. Ensures proper storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains records and files. Maintains equipment and performs minor repairs. Arranges for servicing. Maintains inventory.
