Industrial Onsite Clinic Nurse (Occupational Health Nurse)
Licensing Requirement: Must hold a current DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) or HAAD (Health Authority - Abu Dhabi) license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Reports To: Site HSE Manager / Occupational Health Physician / Clinic Lead
Eligibility & Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
  • License: A valid and transferable Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by DOH or HAAD.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on clinical experience in one or more of the following acute care settings:
  • Emergency Department (ER)
  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Medical-Surgical ICU (MS-ICU)
  • Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or other languages is a strong advantage.
  • Key Skills: Must demonstrate excellent triage, emergency response, clinical assessment, and independent decision-making skills.
Job Summary
The Industrial Onsite Clinic Nurse is responsible for providing immediate and primary healthcare services to employees within an industrial or corporate setting. This role focuses on emergency response, treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, health surveillance, and promoting workplace health and safety to ensure minimal disruption to operations. The nurse operates with a high degree of autonomy and must be prepared to manage medical emergencies until external EMS support arrives.
Core Responsibilities
1. Emergency & Acute Care Management:
  • Provide immediate first aid, trauma care, and emergency nursing interventions for workplace injuries (e.g., burns, lacerations, fractures, chemical exposures, cardiac events).
  • Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and stabilize patients for referral to hospitals.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment (AED, oxygen, suction, trauma bags, stretchers).
  • Coordinate and manage emergency medical evacuations in liaison with site security, HSE, and contracted ambulance services.
2. Clinical Services & Treatment:
  • Manage the onsite clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of occupational and non-occupational illnesses and minor injuries.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as per physician standing orders and company protocols.
  • Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, suture removal, ECGs, vital signs monitoring, and point-of-care testing.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed electronic medical records for all patient encounters.
3. Occupational Health & Compliance:
  • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical screenings as per company policy.
  • Assist in health surveillance programs for specific hazards (noise, dust, chemicals).
  • Manage and track employee medical fitness-for-work certifications.
  • Ensure clinic compliance with all DOH/HAAD regulations, JCI/OHSAS/ISO standards, and company HSE policies.
  • Prepare and submit required medical reports to the HSE Department and regulatory authorities.
4. Health Promotion & Administration:
  • Promote health education and wellness initiatives (e.g., hygiene, heat stress prevention, ergonomics).
  • Inventory management: Order, stock, and maintain pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment, ensuring everything is within expiry and calibrated.
  • Maintain clinic hygiene, infection control, and biohazard waste management as per DOH/HAAD standards.
  • Participate in HSE meetings, risk assessments, and emergency drill simulations.
