Job Description

Perform wiring of switchgear panels, control panels, and distribution boards according to approved schematic and wiring diagrams. Identify and route cables, wires, and components properly as per layout drawings. Terminate wires to switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control devices accurately and neatly. Ensure proper crimping, ferruling, numbering, and dressing of wires for a clean and professional finish. Verify wiring connections for correctness, continuity, and adherence to the schematic drawing. Conduct self-checks before handing over panels for quality inspection or testing. Ensure compliance with internal wiring standards, IEC codes, and project specifications. Report any discrepancies, missing components, or drawing mismatches to the Production Engineer. Collaborate with testing, and quality teams to resolve technical clarifications related to wiring and layout. Maintain wiring logs and records of completed panels for traceability. Assist in updating wiring checklists and standard work procedures. Follow all electrical safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE during wiring and testing. Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled, maintained, and stored after use. Keep the wiring area organized and free from hazards. Participate in toolbox talks and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new switchgear technologies and wiring practices.

Qualifications & Skills

ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly for LV/MV switchgear. Ability to read and interpret schematic and wiring diagrams accurately. Skilled in crimping, routing, and terminating control and power cables. Familiarity with electrical safety standards and good workmanship practices.
